A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant Empty A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant

Tue Jan 16, 2018 7:37 pm
It had been a very long day for Angelica Carisa Rothchild. She had spent the whole day escorting the caravans belonging to the Artemis Caravans in the Apocalypse Red Zone located in the southern part of the kingdom. She had made quite a lot of money from the deal. Angelica and her crew made about 10000 Krones each. However, her joy was spoiled with the arrival of two taxmen belonging to the Atomega Royal Treasury. The two taxmen were named Ralof and Hadvar. Angelica knew these men extremely well. These men were a constant thorn to her side who kept popping up after Angelica made a whole boatload of money. Angelica had had enough of these two so she told them to pack it and leave before they extorted money out of her. Angelica was fuming the guts of these taxmen. However, she had received information from her information network stating that she could met up with the Covenant at their HQ in order to get her situation resolved. Angelica gladly took the chance and soon commanded the crew of her X442 Super Heavy Turbo Tank to drive to the location of the Covenant's HQ.

After about 4 hours of driving. Angelica's X442 rumbled into the town of Black Water. To be exact, only the ruins of the town were left. However, the ruins of the town were no obstruction to the vehicle as it was specially designed for off-road and on-road conditions. The large wheels and the shocks of vehicle quickly rose up and over the the ruins. The weight of the vehicle and it length cause the area to rumble as if a minor earthquake was happening. Soon after, Angelica found herself next to the western wall of the Covenant HQ. As the vehicle stopped moving, Angelica instructed her crew to arm themselves just in case.

A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant Empty Re: A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant

Quill and Kat were dead asleep, this is because it is a berserker holiday call Bear day a holiday where they sleep in as long as they want and then give a bear a hug. Bears are command pets for the berserk members but Quill did not have one. Both of them were woken up by a mini earthquake, 5 minutes later someone called them and said, "Sir there is a really big vehicle out side the western gates asking to see you for a business deal should we let them in or should we wait for you sir?" "Wait for me, tell them to wait like a hour or 2 because it is bear day and i didn't plan on waking up today." "Yes sir" The gate keeper told them the message while Quill woke Kat up and got her ready. She refused a lot so you can tell why older siblings hate trying to get their younger siblings to get ready for something. "But its bear day, why do we have to work today." "Because some one with a god damn heavy vehicle is at our door steps" Once they were ready they headed out to the western gates and waited for who ever was bugging them to she their face.

"Oh, Boss. The Commander and Co-Commander of the Covenant are outside waiting for you." The Driver reported through the intercom as Angelica took a DCH-17 Blaster System from a nearby weapon rack and put the Blaster Rifle attachment on it. Soon after she loaded a magazine into the magazine well which was on the left side of the weapon. Angelica was extremely cautious when it comes to dealing with people after that attempted raid of her vehicle by the Trading Clan a while back. After arming herself, Angelica took an elevator down to the lower level of the vehicle before walking down the boarding ramp on the side of the vehicle. After getting off the ramp, the command crew retracted the ramp back into the vehicle as a precautions. After walking to the west gate, Angelica soon found herself standing in front of a man and a young girl who was standing next to him.

"Hello, there. You two must be part of the Covenant that people have been talking about." Angelica greeted in a very calm, friendly, and relaxed fashion. As she done so, she flashed a friendly smile. Angelica did this so that the people she would be talking to, so she could cut through then tension of the current situation. Also, she hoped that it could help the people she was talking to relax somewhat.

Quill saw a door on the vehicle open and a woman with guards come out, she then greeted both him and Kat. "Hello, my name is Quill Scorchwood and this is my little sister and second in command Kat. It seems you caught us at a rather bad time because today is Bear Day." "You woke us up on a holiday where we can sleep in as long as we can, so ya we are a little mad because of that" "She is not me, anyway what brings you hear in a heavy armored vehicle which seems like you might be a group that was sent to kill us, but sent you out to lower our guard so you can cut open are necks. Though if you where i would of have popped your head by now so you must be here because someone is bugging you. What is it, religious nuts, bandits, or just hiding from someone that wants you dead for some reason or another?" Quill says this while he adjust his gauntlets just in case he needs to fight.

"Well, my problem is not with religious zealots or bandits. However, my problem is with two taxmen from this kingdom. Their names are Ralof and Hadvar." Angelica replied as she told her guards to return to the vehicle for the time being. To be honest, she didn't like the fact that she was with her guards since that would make her negotiations a lot tougher due to the fact that most people didn't like the fact that had to deal with her while her armed guards are nearby. After reassuring her guards that she could handle herself, they nodded before turning around and walking away to the vehicle where they stood for a bit before getting on.

"I think that they are extorting me. I already paid all my taxes for this year and yet they still bug me for payment. If you can help me, I can make it worth your while." Angelica explained in a professional yet somewhat flirty tone as she took out her tablet from her messenger bag and handed it to Quill. On the tablet was all of Angelica's tax information and tax payments which spanned her whole merchant career. The tablet then automatically scrolled to the current year's tax information and tax payments. Angelica was well known for keeping extremely detailed records about her activities and her tax payments. This was a precaution she took to make sure that she wasn't scammed.

Quill looked at all the taxes the woman was given, "Well your first tax is a real one, cargo, vehicle, crew, and weapon taxes were all payed off but the other taxes is part of a abuse in power in which two men have been doing for years, we haven't got any names until now so thats something good. Anyway lets go to my office, we can discuss protection terms so this will not happen again, and don't worry we won't say give use a present of what ever cash you hall in. The covenant doesn't need any money since we are a federal agency, well more like the kings personal murder squad but that is my opinion on the matter. Tell your man they can come out unarmed, and park your vehicle in the open field, since it is bear day all training is cancelled for the day." When she was talking to him before she sounded like she was flirting with him but he is to tired to notice but Kat is, so she is looking at the woman with dagger eyes.

"Alright then." Angelica replied calmly as she put on her headset and told her crew to come out without their weapons and to park the vehicle in a open field. Her crew quickly acknowledged the order. Soon afterwards, 400 people slowly exited the before forming into for ranks of 100 people each. Soon afterwards, Angelica's vehicle then moved to a nearby field located a few meter away from the Covenant HQ. Angelica then smiled reassuringly to Quill and Kat which indicated that she wasn't pulling anything shady or off pudding. Angelica had a reputation for being a professional, if a bit pricey, merchant. She was determined to keep this reputation.

"I see. Actually, I have a proposition for you. If you want, we can talk about in your office." Angelica replied calmly with a smile after hearing that the Covenant didn't need money due to its status as the King of Atomega's assassination squad. However, Angelica had other assets which she could use to make a deal. To be exact, she was currently in possession of a vast variety of blueprints, Digistruct Templates, and Quantim Construction Templates which she acquired using her extremely vast intelligence network. In addition to this, she had a wide variety of weaponry and other combat equipment in her vehicle. Angelica had a lot of stuff to use to bargain with.

"Mhm these are very nice vehicles but we need more, im not going to leech you out of anything important like cash or materials but this is my offer, I will keep these blueprints and if you bring me any more blueprints my craft division will create any blueprints you bring use but we will need the blueprints to anything that can take down a country. That last one is for safety reason, don't want atlas getting their grubby Grimm free hands on it do we. Anyway that is my offer, it is fair for your line of work and fair for my people getting better equipment our current weapons doesn't fit the power we are suppose to have. Do we have a deal." Quill did mean that, the weapons for the grunt were weak and didn't really hold up anything when it came to a full scale firefight.

"That is a very great offer, Mr. Quill. This arrangement would be a Win-Win for the both of us. However, I have something that might fit your requirements." Angelica replied with a smile as she put on her headset and called the Communications Officer on her vehicle. After waiting for a bit, her Communications Officer acknowledged her communications before asking what she required. Angelica then instructed him to get all the Superweapon Schematics they had is the storage. Angelica saw an opportunity where she can offload some of the Superweapon schematics that she acquired. Currently, all she used them for were for insurance purposes against Atlas and other kingdoms. Angelica had a gut feeling that the Kingdom of Atomega could make great use of these weapons.

"Also, Quill. You mentioned that your forces need some better weapons. I have something with me you might like." Angelica added before handing Quill the DCH-17 Blaster Rifle System she had brought with her. Angelica made sure that the safety was on and the magazine was cleared before handing it to Quill.

"This is good, ok i will station 2 member of covenant in your care, if the leeches come back let my people handle it. Knowing the people i have employed they will handle the situation professionally and without a second thought, once they are dealt with my men will return here with any reports they have so do treat them with the up most respect. If you have any future problems you know where to find us, oh and a future note please learn the countries holidays. It helps with both business and the law, here I will lend you my book on Atomega holidays and what they mean, and one more word of advise. You might want to find a good area to set up camp so people don't think you are coming to murder them, 7 clicks north of here in the ruins of a Atlas supporter should be good for looting and making a base camp. Not many bandits are around here due to the fact that i will personally rip their arms off if they did set up camp even 10 click from here." Quill then gave the woman a book of holidays the kingdom has and the lore behind them.

"Understood. I'll make sure that your people are well cared for." Angelica replied calmly as she took the book of holidays from Quill. As she did so, one of her crew entered the room carrying the Quantum Templates for all the Superweapons that she had acquired. After dropping off the Quantum Templates, he left quietly. Angelica then looked at Quill before speaking with a smile on her face. A few moments later, she the took out the superweapons schematics and placed them on Quill's desk. Soon after, she typed in the code which unlocked projectors on the Qunatum Templates. After they projections where formed, Angelica began speaking.

"Well, Quill. In exchange for your assistance, I present to you all the various Superweapons schematics I have in my possession. I have designs for weapons ranging from Black Hole/Worm Hole generating missiles, massive mobile artillery batteries, to super heavy armored vehicles. Please take some time to browse over them and see what you would like." Angelica spoke in a professional tone as she watched carefully for Quill and Kat reaction.

"This will due nicely, anyway please study up on that and the clans too. It will also be nice to know the areas in the kingdom to because we have areas called dark sectors that you must 100% evade due to the amount of grimm in it and where the Valkyries territory is so your men don't get killed. Anyway it was nice doing business with you and thank you for the gifts, we will use them to the full potential they can bring to our organisation." Quill then walk the woman out of his office to her vehicle saying one more thing."If you see anyone in clothing that is made of bear pelt please do not try to sell them anything, those are berserkers on a pilgrimage to the first berserk temple. They must make this journey with only their weapon, traditional armor, rations and no help from a outsider, don't want one of the most feared clan after you do you and i will be unable to help since im part of the clan and i can't protect you if you do. I'm sorry but that is the only way i can not help with"

A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant Empty Re: A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant

"Thank you, Mr. Quill. I'll keep your advice in mind. It has been a pleasure working with you, today." Angelica replied as she and Quill exchanged handshake before getting on her headset to explain the situation to her Communications Officer. Angelica explained the current situation to him. She then told him that two members of the Covenant will be joining the crew as protection. She then told him that the Covenant approved of the DCH-17 Blaster Rifle System and were interested in acquiring them. However, Angelica didn't know exactly how many people were in the Covenant. She needed that information to determine how much to produce. Currently, they only kept a few hundred DCH-17s on board as a safety precaution.

"Excuse me, Mr. Quill. Do you have information on the exact number of people in the Covenant? I need this information to determine how many DCH-17s to fabricate." Angelica asked calmly as she opened the two books that Quill handed her and began skimming through them. It didn't take long for her to store the information into her memory. Angelica was a rather unusual girl since she possessed a eidetic memory which allowed her to remember a lot of information. This proved extremely useful to her in her job as a merchant. However, the information in the book which had information on the Clans of Atomega piqued her interest. In particular, the book made mention of the Trader Clan. Among the information provided was the clothing the clan wore. Higher ranked personnel of the clan wore a robe and a gold sash.

"So the robed people with gold sashes that tried to steal my vehicle while ago are part of the Trader Clan." Angelica commented calmly as she wrote down all the information on the Trader Clan in her notepad. Soon after, Angelica received a communication from her Communications Officer requesting the information on the number of personnel in the Covenant.

A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant Empty Re: A Merchant's Meeting with the Covenant

"For your first question, we will only need one, the people down in research and development with take a look at it and come up with the blueprint for it they will also modify if for more power or something else, we will send you a copy of it if we do make a better version of it or even mods for it but 5 will be needed for it just in case something happens. Your second question, yes that is one of the highest ranks in the Trade clan but that is out of my hands you would need to go to the Trade clan capital for that. Should be easy, just say i sent you and they will see you right away. But if you want to be 100% sure that won't happen again you can move your vehicle to the loading docks on the east side and we will give a the marking of the covenant, keeps the trade clan away from a object like a plague." He then told the two people he was going to send with her the basics of what is going on and they did what they were order to do.
